The Main Overview

Before the Koshigaya International Association formed on May 29, 2001, there was a Koshigaya Sister City Committee, which was started in 1982. Following that, many citizens visited our sister city, Campbelltown. We have also had citizens participate in many in Sister City delegations. It has been a very valuable experiences for everyone, to promote international understanding and a strong friendship between two sister cities.

However, with the rapid development of internationalization, the need for local exchange activities with foreign people living in Koshigaya has increased as has the need for a sister city relationship. In order to meet this need, the Sister City Committee was officially disbanded and the Koshigaya International Association was formed on May 29, 2001.
